With the Lexile Career Database and Quantile Career Database tools, students can identify the reading and math ability needed for entry into a career and use this to inform goal setting and help achieve career readiness.

In order to measure the entry-level demand of reading and mathematics materials commonly encountered in preparing for college and careers, MetaMetrics (the creators of the Lexile and Quantile Frameworks) identified, measured, and analyzed materials that are commonly encountered when first entering college or a career. These materials include post secondary textbooks, career training passbooks, and on-the-job training manuals.
